Find out what’s going on in Coulsdon…

There are many ways to find out and get involved in what’s going on in and around Coulsdon. From leaflets and useful staff at Coulsdon Library, to the noticeboards, one at Coulsdon Town Station and one outside Aldi. At the moment there’s information about a local nature rail, art trail, talks, debates, a quiz and The Hive, a new initiative to turn the space behind the library into a community garden in those.

On Facebook, the What’s on in Coulsdon page has over 3,000 Likes, Coulsdon Mums & Dads (open to all) group has over 6,600 members and The Only Way Is Coulsdon (TWOIC) group has over 9,000 members, to name just the very largest and most active. There are many more, and some really niche ones that are fun too, do go and have a search!

There’s a ‘What’s on in the Community’ section towards the back of the CR5 too, and if you don’t have a copy handy, you can always see it online on the website CR5.

We have some really great Residents Associations, who have websites you can look up or find them on Facebook using the links here:

Eleanor is on the committee for East Coulsdon Residents Association, which has the largest following and is the most active, and their posts cover most of Coulsdon and the town centre although that actually falls under Coulsdon West Residents Association, which is where Wendy lives. Then there’s Old Coulsdon Residents Association , Cane Hill Park, Hartley HADRA, Purley and Woodcote Residents Association and Chipstead Residents Association and others nearby too.

Coulsdon West Residents Association have been encouraging people to join them on Next Door recently, which is another great place to find out information and connect with locals and join groups too.

There are information leaflets and large noticeboards inside the entrance of Coulsdon Community Centre with information about what’s going on there.

There are also notice boards in some of our parks and open spaces, like Coulsdon Memorial Park, Grange Park and up at Clockhouse/The Mount and at community and places of worship, halls and one also at Coulsdon South Station.

We’ve started to tweet as @FineToad1 about what’s going on in and around Coulsdon too.

Whatever you’re into there’s bound to be a set of like-minded people, community or group for you online and hopefully, locally in real life too!

If you want to find something just ask us, we probably know a local connection, group or can at least point you in the right direction: between us we know groups and places to find out about single parenting to running and canoeing and anything from sewing to singing!

If there’s something we’ve missed or you have to share, please make a comment. Thank you,

Wendy & Eleanor, Hello@FineToad.com
